INFO: Can't Set the ShadowColor, BorderColor, HighlightColor and DisabledColor properties (R11120)

Summary

This article describes how to set the ShadowColor, BorderColor, HighlightColor, and DisabledColor properties. This information applies to:

  • BetterButton 1.1

Details

When using a System color for the BackColor property, you cannot set the ShadowColor, BorderColor, HighlightColor, and DisabledColor properties. This is because when the system colors change, the other colors would not adjust and the button colors would look incorrect.

Workaround

To set these properties, you must first set the BackColor to a custom color (not a System Color).
