HOWTO: Add the BetterButton ActiveX control to a Visual Basic Project (R00100)

This article will tell you how to place a BetterButton ActiveX control inside of your Visual Basic application.

Details

After installing the BetterButton ActiveX control, you need to put it in your Visual Basic Toolbox:

  • Open Visual Basic
  • Start or open a project
  • Select Components from the Project menu (or press CTRL + T)
  • Make sure the "Selected Items Only" checkbox is unchecked
  • Scroll down to select Variad BetterButton(tm) Control 1.x from the list and check it
  • Click OK
  • It should now be in your VB toolbox. If you can't see your toolbox, select Toolbox from the View menu. You should now see this icon:
  • Select the BetterButton icon from the toolbox and draw a rectangle on the form.
